Well, I just joined up a while ago and was wondering if we have done a C309-113? I have a 2 banger and except it drops em at 314, its a nice boolit.

..........Yup. I think Sundog was the daddy on that one if I'm not mistook. It's a great little boolit. Not much there to go wrong with it :D

Any interest in doing another run of them?

I'd sure be interested! I just ordered a 2X to it try out. I cast some on Sunday and shot them today in a 30-30/18gr SR4759. I sure would not mind making a whole bunch real fast. I remember the buy, but I don't know what I was thinking for not jumping in. Guess I was still doing the 45-70 thing.
Just don't remember the diameter the 6X was going for. Glad someone else brought it up because I was going to ask about it.

I shot a few out of my 308 yesterday ahead of 20 grains of 2400. 2100 fps. Plinker my butt! Nice group, same sight setting as my 150 load. Gonna check for lead later tonight. It shoots 1 1/4" at 100 out of my TC contender If I can hold the thing still enough. I had to mount a 6x scope on it to see. I already have 7 30 cal molds and prolly 3 to 5 years boolits poured ahead. 2 more 30 cal group buy molds coming.

Let's see if this works....

The link should take you to an old thread on .312-.314 pistol bullets. Scroll to the bottom of the first page. The last post says the "soupcan" is now available in 6 cav. I have been meaning to track this down, but haven't got to it yet.

...Gregg,
...The Midsouth Shooters Supply Co. paper catalog has the order number for that mould in the 6-cavity space. However, when you type the order number in at their web site, it comes up as a double cavity. That may have been where you saw it, if you use Midsouth.

Is any one else interested in doing a soupcan II? Even if there is limited interest the setup can be split up betwixt us. The alternative is NEI for a six banger. The 2X isn't that bad but I tend to have my shooting get ahead of my casting.

Yes I am very interested. I foolishly missed the last group buy and was also fooled by the Midsouth ad while trying to recover my error.

Actually, that's one of the moulds that I'm holding my breath right now for. Maybe that's why I was so interested in it...

...........I have one so I won't be in on this one. However if someone wanted to step up and hocho the deal it'd be simple. No drawing or anything to come up with. Just open the deal up and when you have your 25 takers, shoot the money off to Lee and say, "Make me the C309-113F in a 6 holer to your current specs."

Nothing else to worry about. No dimension questions or wondering if it can be done or not. Also shouldn't have a bunch of quibbleing about design changes either :D

If one of you guys wants it, step up and do it. Doesn't cost anything to try.

I'll run the deal, but interest is a bit slower than I thought it would be. Spent friday evening casting the soupcan with the 2X thinkg that even if there is just 10 of us... Maybe we just need to gain momentum. Let's see what happens.

Brian,

Thanks for volunteering to honcho the deal. I suggest a "commitment" list is started. Once folks commit, say ten of us after a few weeks, then start collecting $66 a mold. If we make the magic 25 then either donate the $10 to the forum, refund it or whatever the group wants to say do with it. I'll wager that you will get at least 10 of us to pony up for this mold. You might see the 25 after a month or so and not need the collect the extra $10. Heck, I've eaten so much Ramen lately, my stomach wouldn't know what to do with real food anymore.

Sign me up for one.

Brian,

Count me in for one. If we can let this buy run for 4 to 6 weeks, I am sure we will reach the 25 mark. What's the rush? :)

Thanks!!
