I am thinking that I would like to try the heavy Lyman 356637 147 gr. 9mm boolit but have no experience with it. What I am wondering is the normal as cast diameter of this bullet as it drops from the mold. I would like to see it drop at .358" but might be able to live with .357". So has anyone here cast this boolit? If so what diameter is your mold dropping and with what alloy?

Also what is your favorite loading for this boolit? Is there any other mold that you like better than the 356637 147 gr. ?

My experience with that boolit was very unsatisfactory. It fed well but accuracy was less than optimal.
I much prefer this mold from NOE http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?cPath=34&products_id=1911
It drops at .358 for me and works well in both 9mm and 38 special. The hollow point version drops at 147 grains with my alloy.
The following link takes you to a thread on that boolit with reviews, targets, and some load data.

^^^^What he said. "Less than optimal" =abysmal, at least IME. Which I found surprising, given that 147 grain Winchester Factory shot very well. I have an MP mold that drops at about 150 grains that I use for heavy boolit 9mm's. Now, though, to tell the truth, this is my current 9mm boolit;
