Powders are coming back!

Had some time ta kill this AM so I stopped by 3 LGS's and could not believe how many bottles of powders they all had! Shelves were completely full and cases were on the floors. Hod and IMR have really been cranking out the product. I have not seen Varget in over 2 years and there were 6 CASES of one pounders sitting on the floor. Some Alliant stuff but not much. None of everybody's favorite (my most unfavorite) Unique was around. Rifle AND pistol powder abound!

Prices ranged from $22-37/pound depending on the type and store.

So things are improving, but I do not expect prices to EVER be where they were in the past. Buy what you need today when & where you can find it!

I reported Cabela's had jugs on the shelf last week. I didn't like the price but they were there for the taking. I'm still unable to buy W231/HP-38. This is the only powder I need to buy.

Ain't nobody filled by backorders for Trail Boss yet, but lots of others are coming back.

Went to a gun show today and there were plenty of powders available. Some vendors still had higher than acceptable prices but others were clearly feeling the pressure of completion and had lower prices. Guess which ones were selling!

Cabelas has trailboss once in a while online... I'm glad I got what I got at the price!

I picked up my first 2 lbs of hp-38 last week at Scheels in West Des Moines Iowa. I've been on the look out for it for the last 2 years.
It seems like the powder comes and goes in waves. I've found Bullseye, 2400, and Unique over the last couple months.

Got some Bullseye at Bass Pro this morning. Plenty of other powders available as well. Dicks and Academy both had 22LR.
