Im thinking about getting an upper in 300 W and was wondering how they do with cast boolits.
Also, does anyone have any experience forming the brass out of .223 rem.? I know it can be done by trimming, necking down and then trimming to 1.355", I just dont know what all I need to do it.

You might want to PM RedneckDan. He's been playing with one for a while. I think I saw a few loads posted down in the new forum for favorite loads down the main page a ways.

Shooting it in an AR may be a problem unless you use very light weight bullets which ofcourse negates the intention of the round. When using heavy bullets the bullet base is wayyyyyyyyy below the neck/shoulder junction which generally spells trouble with cast bullets. My 300 Whisper is a single shot and suppressed so I'm getting a 250 grain mold and re-throating the rifle for that bullet. Necking out a 223 case isn't difficult but if you want to keep the short lenght to feed through an AR magazine then just buy 221 brass, that would be much easier.
