The boss has a 480 Ruger SRH NIB with a hard grey finish has a 1.5-4x Weaver scope on it and a box of 20 Hornady 325g JHP ammo, to be fair to him and me what should I offer? Forgot 6" barrel I think.
How good is the 480 and as the bore is .475 how available are the moulds?

It should have either a 7 1/2 or 9 1/2" bbl. I believe dealer price is in the high $500 range for the gun. Scope would be around $100-$150.

What I would give him would depend on when I got my last raise.:-D

As far as molds, Lee, RCBS, BallistiCast, and a few others have them available. Sizing dies are another matter. I made most of mine. My gun runs 0.4751 on the groove and 0.4781 on the throats. Cast bullets in the 400 gr range seem to work best.

They were closer to $900.00 new. I bought one when they just came out and it's a great round that can compete with the big boys if loaded properly (400 + grain bullet around 1200 fps). They did indeed come with either a 7.5 or 9.5-inch barrel (I prefer the 7.5 myself as it is easier to carry and shoot), and the target gray finish. NIB? With scope? Offer him $550.00 and go from there. My brother-in-law bought one used but in great shape without the box and scope rings for $450.00 recently. It's a great piece that won't disappoint!
