well, I don;t, but I do trim 460 S&W which is the same form factor.

I use a lee trimmer, with the pilot that goes into the primer hole.

I chuck the cutter and length gauge into the lathe (a drill press or hand drill would work just fine) and then put the cases in the shell holder and go that way. would work like a champ for 50/70 unless you plan to do more than 500.

I would look at the wilson trimmer and see if they haave the set up These dont hold on the rim of the case so a simple body block is needed is all. next the dont use a pilot so the extra big pilot or custom pilot isnt needed. May require the special case holders for straight walled cases though. I think wilson makes one for trimming 50bmg so. Look at sinclairs web site, brownells, Graffs, midsouth, midways all may have something to work.

I use a Lyman universal trimmer for all my. 50 cal brass; 50-70, 56-50 Spencer (made from 50-70) and 50-95 Winchester. Contrary to Lyman's description, it will take the 50 rim size by using about 10 seconds of grinding with a small Dremel stone. Some will work with no grinding at all. Mine took just a little. Here is mine with a 56-50 Spencer case in the universal chuck.

Country Gent, I use the Wilson trimmer but I think the standard cutter will only go to .490 while they do make a steup for 50 bgm.

For these larger cases up to 0.577" I use an old Hornady hand trimmer that takes shell holders, I replace the cutting head with a flat grinding stone for a Dremel and use this to trim with. Works fine just needs a bit of deburring at the end.
