Does anyone have experience loading for this? Do you run a 454 diameter bullet?

I got to looking and the frame says this one is made by Taurus.

I have one and it is one of my favorite plinking rifles!

I load and shoot everything from 160 thru 300 gn PC's boolits thru it. The 300 is the funnest! [smilie=w:

I have a red dot on it and it hits where ever the dot is. Typically 60-100 yards. Unbelievable accuracy and repeatability. Smooth action and very little recoil.

Remember.......that is MY gun, not one you may buy.

I size all my 45LC's for all my 45 cal guns to 452 after PC.

Hm... sounds promising. Ive got the lee 452-200 -1r and the lead I'm shooting at 900ish fps, being shot into RR ties only looses 2gr mass and opens to .602"

What's your bore slug to?

I load for my son and he shoots my reloads with a 452 sized lead 250 grain at around 900 fps no problems with leading and it is dead on at 50yds. I have been shooting his gun more than he does and its a fun little package no recoil and a smooth trigger.

I don't slug all my guns. Only the ones that cause problems with standard sizes. I shot this right out of the box at 452 sizing with perfect accuracy and no leading with PC.

Why bother sluggin'.............when it ain't broke? You don't have to slug every gun you own if they perform perfectly from the work GO.

Well now all I need is some brass

Got brass today. Sorely disappointed with accuracy. Can't seem to get it to group at all. 200 and 230 cast at .452 over unique gave horrible accuracy. More of a pattern at both 25 and 50m

Sorry to hear that. Now you need to slug your barrel!

Mine gave excellent accuracy right out of the box with 200-300 gn + PC. The heavier the better. Guns are that way at times. Try some 255 and 300 gn slugs when/if you can.

I only use Titegroup and ETR7 and get excellent repeatability and groups. And fun shooting. And it is my wife's favorite rifle. I dislike Unique a lot. I never use it anymore. I have found much better powders out there.

And , sorry , no.......I do not take pictures of my targets. My word is my bond.

Hope you find the right combo for your Judge.

I intend to try some heavies. Bore slugged to .452" so I may try some jwerds in the 240-250 class.

Depends on the cylinder throats. Like a revolver it works easier if the throats are .001" over the bore's groove diameter however I've run .002" to fit the throats. If you bore is at .452 then.............

It's all Spanish to me. I know next to nothing about pistols in general, much less revolvers

Better learn Spanish, mi amigo! You are now waste deep into the revolver world.
