View Full Version : Mystery Hollywood Shotshell Die?

I have a Hollywood shotshell die that is too small for 20 gauge but too big for 28 gauge. A 20 gauge shell fits nicely in the die shown below on the left but is too large for the one on the right. A 28 gauge shell is way too small. The 20 gauge die measures .670" at the throat and the mystery die measures .689". Any ideas what gauge shell this fits? 24 gauge?

could easily be a 24 ga. Used to be around and Hollywood started up way back when things like this were used. I'm not sure of the gauge sizes but I know we used some 24ga shells for 60mm mortar launch charges. I prefer the 20 ga I load but someone had these 24ga loads that were commercially done in the last few years.....
