I have a smokeless 1902 or 1905 action that was originally in 7x57mm but it's stripped.

I found a .38-55 barrel that is chambered and looks to be cut for a rotary extractor...(sad because I believe my action had a sliding extractor)

I think it may have come from a STAR rolling block which were in .30-30 and .38-55. It looks just like barrel in this picture.

anyway I am working on it....I also have a large wierd half round and Hexagonal (not octagonal) barrel blank that is threaded for smokeless threads.....

So I am not really sure what the I am going to do with it just yet.

The smokeless 1902/1905 is a rotary extractor I believe. Early RB's had the slide extractor but most of the 1880 to modern were rotary.
