Pretty much been sticking w NOE molds lately because they cast perfect and the hollow point option is a huge differentiator. Been watching the site for close to a year or more waiting for the 434310 Lee copy to come back. It hasn't. But there is a 432 or 434 290. had my hart set on the 310, but the 290;

- is available
- comes in 432 (my SBH and 444 slug 430)
- is slightly lighter for my 38 twist if that would even make a diff
- has a slightly rounder ogive, at the cost of meplet.

So, is that rounder ogive gonna feed way better in a lever gun? Or should I keep waiting for the 310 to come back around.

I would wait, I have the Lee mold, it has a much larger metplate than the NOE 290. Whats wrong with the Lee? Mine casts at .431 using #2. I do have an NOE mold for my 45/70 and it is a work of art, You cannot see the parting line, and it casts as advertised.

MP-Molds has a nice 300g .44 mold that was designed for the .444 Marlin, and it looks like a close copy of the Lee 310. I have it and I love it. It is a hollow point 4C in brass. Those boolits work well in my .444 Marlins. I just checked Miha's site, (MP-MOLDS.COM) and that mould is currently out of stock. An e-mail to Miha, might let you know when they will be back in stock.
