A shooting friend and I took advantage of a rainy Saturday morning this week and built a dueling tree specially designed for.22 caliber. Sunday morning was a good day to test it out. All I can say what a pile of fun. There was several of us and bragging rights were passed around a couple different times.
Something I'd like to see is a place especially for targets and ideas. As I go through the sections I don't see any real designated area for posts related to thoughts, designs and such. Any others with thoughts on this?

This is as good a place as any. What kinds of targets are you interested in?
Could you post construction details of the tree you built?
I built this one but it would not work with .22 rimfire.

That's what I was referring to some nice photos and target ideas. I'm out of town quite unexpectedly but will post close up and such as soon as I can.

This one is a video but is a fun one I built. Idea is to hit the "no shoots" behind.

Only shot on a dueling tree once. I was taking a class at the Sig Academy in Exeter, NH. We had completed the course, had ammo left over and the some time. So the instructor set up a "Triple Nickle" drill used by US Air Marshals and US Marshals during training there (If you don't know the triple nickle drill, 5 Targets, 5 rounds per target with a reload in 5 seconds). This was an advanced pistol class.
With time and ammo still available, we went to the tree. The other top shot in the class and I paired up and we ran out of ammo before a decision was achieved.
Lotsa fun!
