I scored two large pieces of lead about six months ago and am wondering what they were/are. My cousin brought them to me from Iowa if that helps. He knows nothing about them as somebody gave them to him.

They weigh just over 30 pounds each.

This will not help you identify them but thought it was a neat picture. Round was a 55 gr Hornady FJM over H-335 from my AR. Impact at 25 yards.

This is a round of Monarch Ball from my AK. Impact was at 25 yards.

Good alloy too. Quit shooting them and melt them into boolits :)

I agree, Isotope containers. Make bullets out of them and find a better target!

Yes.......radioisotopes. A very common and totally safe source of good alloy.

Oh they are destined to become .356, .358 .401, .452 and .459 bullets very soon!!!

They are pretty much pure lead, you may have to add some lino type or something to bring up the BHN
