S&w m29 8-3/8"

Hello Folks,

I would like to know the taper of the 8-3/8" barrel on the S&W M29. Would someone please measure your barrel diameter near the breech and near the muzzle for me?

P.s., does anyone know why the thread editor changes the capitalization of subject lines. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it allows the correct entry. The subject line I entered above was S&W M29 8-3/8". Is there a way to force the editor to save uncorrupted data?
