Hi Guys,
I acquired a new batch of .44 brass, and found a couple of odd pieces of .44 mag brass stamped "REM-UMC .44 MAGNUM" obviously its no older than 1955, but modern Remmington brass is stamped "R-P" . Remmington has owned UMC since the 1880's but in modern time they use the R-P stamp(for Remmington-Peters).
Any ideas on age of the "REM-UMC .44 MAGNUM" brass??
Also I found a few pieces of Federal brass stamped "FC 44 MAG" again this is a departure from their normal stamp for .44 mag that is "FC .44 REM MAG" Notice the "REM" part is missing. Any ideas on the FC brass age ?
