I am looking for an estimate of what a revolver is worth. Said gun is a Ruger Vaquero with gold inlay on cylinder and bottom of the grip frame and White grips (genuine fake ivory) in 45 Long Colt with a 5 1/2' barrel. It is new in the box and never been fired. I don't know what it sold for in '99 when it was purchased which would also be helpful if anyone happens to know what the retail was then. Nice piece and I'd like to be fair but not extravagant on the price. Any help will be certainly appreciated. Thanks all.

I might add that this is the old model Vaquero.

Stainless steel 7 1/2 wood grips was $400 in 96.

There were some like this on various auctions for around $550 or $600 awhile back. The 45 VAQUEROS are more common on the auctions, but the Original Size guns are commanding a better price all the time. If it's a BISLEY, it's worth a little more. (I look for 357 and 44 Original Size VAQUEROS/BISLEY VAQUEROS for shooters, buying any I can afford to.)

There were some recently over on gunbroker NIB.
