Only flaw I've found while using the Lee Breech Lock Press, was I didn't have enough of the inserts.

I find them harder to get the threads lined up. I find that setting a lock on the die and spinning it into the press, works just as fast for me. Plus I don't have to buy or run out of inserts. I have one that came with the Lee and I just leave it in and screw the dies in.

In my case I also have a Dillon 550, which does not accommodate either of the breech inserts. I'd be removing them from the insert to use them on the Dillon (I keep the most used dies in their own tool head anyway, so I'm not adverse to keeping the dies set up and ready). If you have a press that does not accommodate the breech lock inserts, then they might not be for you.

I've got Hornaday's system and like it. Yes, I had to buy a number of the inserts but they were a one time purchase. Used on my single stage for 45-70 and decapping chores. My Dillons do the bulk of my .45 Colt and .38 Sp reloading.

I use these, and it is way faster than repeatedly screwing in dies and adjusting them every time and the lock-ring eliminator works real good:

As written in another post also if I believe Lee products are worth what you pay, and more, the BL sistem is more a response to e non existant problem. I have two Classic cast presses, one with BL and the other threaded. This is the one I use the more. Beeing a person that could not avoid fixing also what it whorks perfectly I find myself changing my loads elements often. Readjusting classic dies is a less than one minute job. Where and when the BL inserts can come handy is if you reload at the range. You don't have to check and recheck each time

Qestion for those of you who have used both styles....The LEE inserts lock into place. Does the Hornady style insert lock as well?

No problems here using the Lee hand press with the breech locks.
I do have other presses, one is mounted upside down and is just used for sizing, crimping gas checks. My Lee universal flare tool pretty much lives in the other. Although I have used it for full length resize of large cases.

Currently every die set I have has its own bushings, with a spare or 2.

I like the loocks of the Hornady locking bushings, but I can't justify replacing all the ones I already have.

Lee's breechlock system works fine until the locking mechanism breaks and you have to send the press with the die insert still installed to Lee to have them remove it for you, then they fix the locking mechanism. A real pain in the a**. So far the Hornady lock n load insert system hasn't failed on me.
