Morning gents,

first let me say that I have read through the Lee-menting threads and for the most part they were extremely helpful in "beagaling" my .452 Lee mold, but I've had a helluva time trying to reproduce that success on the smaller cavity .312 155 grain mold. Has anyone else had this problem, any tips or tricks when dealing with the softer lead smaller molds?

I had better luck with the Lee .312 185 1r.
Was able to get good .314's out of it.

The 155 seems to not like to throw much bigger.

If your tape is thin you could try small pieces on both mold halfs. Aligning them so tape touches tape.

I was also surprised to see how much difference a little tin can make.

I don't know what alloy you are using. I've been casting almost everything with range lead I bought here.
I added maybe a 1/4 of a muffin of 60% tin to my pot and my boolits jumped 2 to 3 thousandths instantly.
