So, does anyone have the new G42, I believe, that is a single stack 380.

How does it shoot with lead and what mould do you like in it?

Yes, I have one and it is a GREAT boolit squirter. I can't recommend this pistol enough, you can read about my experiences in the Glocks and lead boolits sticky at the top of this forum. If you want the short and sweet of it, try Lee 356-102-1R sized to .356, lubed with Tac-X, over 2.9 grains Bullseye with a Federal primer at .971 OAL. You'll be grinning ear to ear!!

I own a G42 .380 and really like it...no issues at all. Have not shot any lead through it though.

How about the Glock 43? I've fondled the 42 and 43. Really like the feel of them, but have managed to resist so far.

I love my 42. It's the perfect union of gun and cartridge like the Marlin 336 and .30 WCF. The 43 feels nice but probably too small and light for my taste in a 9mm.

I too love my 42 (bought for my wife). I PC my Lead and run them with jacketed data. Very easy to conceal and will fit larger hands with the simple conversion on the mags with Pierce grip extenders.
Looking to get a 43 in the near future.

I picked up my 43 today. Haven't loaded 9mm cast in years but looks like I'll start again. Too bad the bureau doesn't issue 9mm anymore.

43 shoots well. 147 grain jacketed 6 rounds into about 2" at 20 yards. I was just getting a feel for it standing at 20 yards. Brad

I haven't totally ruled out a 43. I had a Kahr CW9 which was the perfect size and weight for a small 9mm. I sold it because I just never could shoot it well. How does the 43 feel in terms of recoil and muzzle jump compared to a 26 or other small double stack 9mm? I shoot my 26 pretty well.

It's been a while since I shot a double-stack subcompact 9mm but I was surprised out how mild the recoil was. Shooting rapidly, the 43 would try to roll and twist a little making rapid shots a little left and a little low. Shooting slow it was a dream to shoot and hit exactly where I aimed.

I agree with one article I read about it, especially the question about what took them so long. I personally have no use for it but it's a gun that matches up well with today's market and I suspect it will do well.
