Got a friend with a 32 special. I want to make some cast for him but the only mold that might work is a Lyman 311403 a Pope design with successively larger driving bands ending with the base at .314. Would it be possible to PP this up to .321-.323 for use in the 32 Special. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks. Tim:bigsmyl2:

Beinfang 360 Graphics paper would do it for you. You can buy it on line (e.g., Amazon) or at your local art-supply store if you are lucky.

Take a look at current Lyman 319247, a plain base bullet listed for the 32-40. It should be
a correct dia for the 32 Spl. RCBS 32-170FN should still be available
Other "obsolete" moulds could be found on ebay:
321297- a Good gas check fn bullet nom 184 gr worked well on deer in my friend's M94 32 spl
He also shot it in his 8mm mausers.
321232 PB. nice FN design. I have that one for my 32-40. casts something like 323

Will concur with this, as well as Accurate Molds being excellent and easy to use. I have several!

I've read on this forum that guys are sizing down 8mm boolits for 32. That might be a consideration, since the 8mm molds are readily available.

Just a thought.

Beltfed, To make a .32 WS plain base boolit into a gas check type, use a.338 gas check and size it. I've made my old Winchester .32-WS mould into a fair gas check mould by beagleing it then attach a GC then size away. Most any 8mm/.32 plain based boolit works well.
