I found a 313492 Wadcutter mold today at a gun shop and, not only does it appear to have never been used, but I only paid $25 (He had several molds for $25 and, well, I bought several).

Perfect timing too as I was planning on getting a Ruger SP101 in 327 Federal, as the cartridge has pretty much faded away and I fear that the recently released SP101 may be the last production gun in the caliber. I'd love one of the 8-shot GP100s.

But I digress, does anyone have any experience with this mold? It looks like a mini 358432.

I've shot the 492' 84 gr. wad-cutter ( mine does not weight 92 grs. ) with " laser like accuracy " at 25 yards from my 30-30 Win. T/C Contender Pistol.
A pretty amazing and super versatile pistol. I have since added a heavy barrel 10" in .22 Long Rifle. It is likewise super accurate.

Well Ben, that was not the response I expected but very cool! I love my contender.

2.5 gr Red Dot in a solid frame 32 Long/32 New Police is accurate as well.

I haven't loaded it in a 327 FM yet, but that bullet "made its bones" as a target bullet in the 32 S&W Long case, so there's no reason it shouldn't do great in your Ruger. Please let us know what your results are as I personally have a Blackhawk 8 shooter to keep fed and would consider that as a possible candidate... I've got a DC mould I traded for and have only cast with a little, but it seems to work very well.

Cheese and crackers. Wish I had one of those in .33 for the little French officers model.

I had Tom at Accurate Molds make one of these and it performs in everything I've tried it in. Everything would be .32 Long, .32 Mag and .327. He can make it whatever diameter you want.
