I have a late production Marlin 1894 in 41 Mag and would love to find a plinking bullet of this weight. I know that there are "premium" hunting bullets of this weight out there but I do NOT wish to spend as much on my plinking load s as a jacketed bullet. Do you have any words of wisdom for me other than the fact that I should cast my own? Thanks for any replies, Goat

Goat, The above link has some heavy 41 caliber boolits for your use, but as you will find, they ain't cheap. I have shot some Leadheads in the past and they are well made, but may be a little harder than you want.
You might have a little better luck contacting some of the folks on the board and making some trades for some 41 cal boolits. Good luck.

My .41 plinkers are the Lee Tumble Lubed 210 gr. micro grooved bullet.

Sorry, I know you said ......... nix to casting. But the fax is the fax! Short of casting your own ....... the BARGINS done went bye bye!!

AND for the time and expense ........ you CAN NOT beat the TL's by Lee for plinkers!

Got to introduce my 14 year old nephew to my 94fg last weekend. Had about 300 rounds of Lyman 410426 at 1075fps. We had the rifle range to ourselves and 15 pepper poppers from 60 to 200 yards. Before he got to the bottom of the bag he thought that my old fashioned gun was a lot neeter that his dads bolt action deer rifles. I cast them soft anfd the bullets wiegh 248gr lubed. They shoot about 1 1/2" 5 shot groups at 50 yards on average.
