Good day everyone:
So,i just reloaded my very first cast bullets.
I reloaded for my 30wcf 1909 m94 takedown.i cast the lee309 170 fp out of wheel weights with a little 50/50 bar solder thrown in,gas checks and lubed with my own lube (a bit of bees wax,a bit of minwax paste,a good squirt of lla and a good sized glob of Vaseline)its a little sticky but very slick.and i sized them to .309 and crimped them in with a lee fcd.
And i learned it all here!!!!! Thank you all.

Ok so here's my question i am also loading the same load in a 1913 rem m14 in 30 rem and was wondering if i could use the 30-30 fcd to crimp my 30 rem cases.
i only have about 250 pieces of 30rem brass so i have to be carefull with them.

Any input is greatly appreciated

If the neck on the 30 rem is long enough to get the case mouth up there, you should be fine. If not you'll be bumping the shoulder of the 30 rem before it reaches the crimp. The 30-30 does have a long neck........

Try it. Work slowly and very gradually screw in the seating di. I have done similar things with a 30/30 and 308. Can't remember which way I went.

If that particular die doesn't hit the shoulder of the 30-30 it may work . The shoulder of the Remingtons is like and AI/Weatherby compared to the Winchester ,(it obviously isn't as it predates them both by at least 40 yr) the Remington also is just a little shorter ,I don't have my notes for how much. The only way know for sure is to try a piece , you'll know pretty quick if the if the shoulder is hitting probably well before the collet starts to close .
