I found some boolits the other day that dad had forever in the reloading shop, and decided that I would try loading some. They are .311 dia with a GC and three grooves, round nose, ( it's ok up to here ) they are hollow points. They look just like a lyman 311291 but the pics I have seen of that boolit don't show a hollow point. Anyone have any idea what they are? I would like to find a mold for them. I don't know where dad got them or what happened to the mold if he had it himself. :drinks:

They are probably a 311291 HP. For most of the 20th century Lyman would make a HP mould for any non-hollow base design they made. I know for a fact that Lyman made HP version of the 311291 because I have one. It's a great bullet!

Lyman only has the 3 or 4 pistol molds they are currently making. For Rifle stuff your going to have to buy a single or dual cavity mold and have someone like Buckshot HP it for you.
