My brother-in-law really needs prayers right now (his wife, as well). He was bitten this afternoon by a rattlesnake. Apparently, he was alone, and it took some time for his wife to find him. He is in intensive care right now and is being given anti-venom. Sure hope his identification of the species was correct so the anti-venom will work.

Prayer said. Does he live locally?

S mac, No, he is a HS principal in Colorado. Today, he is doing pretty well considering the snake bite. His leg is pretty swollen and (I find this interesting) his lips are swollen. I plan to ask him if he was kissing the snake when he was bitten LOL. He was bitten on the calf. He has, as you can imagine, quite a bit of pain. They expect him to be in ICU for 36 hours while being given the anti-venom. All in all, he seems to be recovering well. Praise God!

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. I kind of like the guy, even if he is a better fly fisherman than I am, and he is better at it than I am (Don't tell him I said that).

Just an update: My Brother-In-Law is recovering well. He is out of Intensive Care and in a "regular" room now. He still has a lot of swelling and lots of pain. His sense of humor is still there. When I asked him why he was kissing the snake in the first place (his lips are swollen), he laughed and said it seemed to be the thing to do at the time.

Again, thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

Rick
