Browning vs Matchdot 2

I recently purchased a Matchdot2 (MD2) to put on my Browning Buck Mark Hunter. The spacing of the grooves, on the pistol, do not align with the minimum distance the rings can be together on the MD2.

What is the best way to mount the optic on the pistol?

is it a 1 inch or a 30mm RDS if 30mm you can use the 30mm double wide mono ring that Aimpoint uses with there comp series rds, it only has to line up with one mounting cross slot .
I have several on handguns from 22 to 454 Casull with no problems

Because I am impatient, I visited a friend that shaved 0.06" off of the thickness of the rings and it fits great.
