Hey, we have to start somewhere.

handi rifle barrel cutoff, 357 caliber. I've done crowns via piloted reamers, but never single point on a lathe before now. I've never profiled a barrel ever before.

It is NOT chambered yet. Will chamber in 38 special. I've reamed out 357 mag to a 357 max, never roughed a chamber before. I also look forward to that.

If I can get 10-ring accuracy at 25 yards, elbows on the table and a 4x scope I will be a HAPPY guy. This would turn one field gun into a dual purpose big and small game gun, field convertible in front of the fleeing rabbits. I don't care that there is NO provision for extraction. Nothing more than a barrel exercise hat I get to actually fire someday.

of course it is flawed as heck, but you can't see that from the photo taken with a 1-megapixel potato.

If you have an old 38 special reamer you are willing to loan me, call me. I pay cash. :)
