I had the opportunity to visit the range again yesterday and try out some of the sample boolits that adrians so generously sent me. On the first trip out I got a 5 shot group, at 50 yards, of 3 5/8". Yesterday I was able to better that with a group at 1 3/8"! I was quite pleased with the group from the first outing and then to better that...! All shots were taken off a bench w/rest, boolits were sized .452, lube was a 50/50 mix of beeswax and borebutter, charge was the suggested starting load for that weight boolit(255gr). The rifle used was a T/C .45 Hawken which had a badly pitted bore. It's since been polished and seems to be somewhat accurate.

Yeah, I know it didn't happen w/o a pic. I gave the first target to my BP mentor since he started me on this, but I did keep the second.

I have had very good results with that bullet in several rifles.

Wow. That's cool.
Haven't used that mold since concocting a BP load for the 45LC single shot.
