I lucked out and finally found a #2 RRB in .32-20. I have another in .32 Extra Long rimfire that I shoot regularly. #2s are pretty rare, and most I've seen are in a a rimfire caliber (.32,.38 or .44). But they did make some in .32-20, .38-40 and .44-40. Every once in a blue moon (that was last week - right?) the antique rifle gods take pity on us mere mortals and favor us with a good deal. This one came my way and I'm quite pleased. Its in very good condition with a bore I'd rate at 9 out of 10. I'm loading up a variety of light smokeless and BP loads for it. I can't wait to get to the range.

No. 2's are my favorite Rolling Block. I sure would like to find one in just about any centerfire caliber. Who am I kidding, I would like to find any of them with a good shootable bore.

Mine was originally a .32 Rim fire, I think it was the Extra Long chamber, but I haven't checked since I only have .32 Short Colt and .32 Long Colt brass. When I get around to making chamber length brass I will find out for sure.

Did your new to you rifle come with the tang sight? Or did you add it?

The sight came with it. But is a Marbles R3 for a #4 RRB, not the R2 designed for it. But I'm chasing down a lead on a R2 now.

I think that most #2s in .32 rimfire have the extra long chamber. #4s were only chambered in .32 short and long rimfire. I'd be interested to hear what yours measures. Here is one of my reloadable .32 Extra Longs made from 327 Federal Magnum brass>

Great find. I lobe my #2 in 38 and even changed it over to center fire. What's wrong with the R3 sight, does it not work or??? Keep us posted. They are fun little guns. My Fav's ate the #2 and the #5.

I can't say for sure what the difference is between the R2 and R3. But the elevation stem on this one seems just barely tall enough at maximun extension. The other thing is, as I'm sure all #2 owners know is that the upper tang is curved a little, not straight. I think the R2 base is curved to match the tang. With the R3 there is a little gap under the base.

Good morning
Nice ! One of my favorite calibers to go walking around with searching for grounds hogs. And a fine Roller with a good barrel well kept !

SWEET! One could argue that I have that base covered with my Cadet rechambered for the .32-20 Kinda-Sorta, but I'd have still dislocated my shoulder pulling my wallet for that one.
