I slugged my I-70 Yesterday and it came out a little confusing, is this normal for the slug to be so far apart from the lands and grooves? and if so, does anyone have the LEE Mak mold that cast larger than 365?

NOE has a GB that is perty stagnant for the mak.
I special ordered one from Tom at Accurate molds.

The figures shown correspond to .005" groove depth, which is a little larger that "Normal" (usually .004"). The largest spread I've measured is found in my CZ-550's 9.3mm barrel, with .352" land diameter and .366" groove diameter, corresponding to a .007" groove depth.

I got a 3.66 from Miha on a special buy. Been too busy to try it yet.

I don't have my data in front of me but I am reasonably certain that my Russian was .366 x .356, so very similar.

Ok I looked it up in my files and I was correct. As a point of interest, my East German Mak is .3645 x .355, so it would seem the spec is .005 deep grooves.

The largest diameter I could cast from the Lee 100 grain RN was .365 with COWW. NOE has a waiting list for, I think a 95 grain, with different options. He wants 10 people to sign up before running it, which makes sense, but only four people so far have committed. Recently got an LBT mold which drops boolits at .367.

Accurate moulds great moulds he will make you what you want in a 4 cavity that is the best way to cast for the Makorov. I tumble lube all my Mak bullets it is the best way to go, I shoot as cast.
