I'm guessing you have to order powder specific colors; mixing colors just isn't working out, color-wise. These are a mix of Smokes Red and Traffic White; works great. Enjoy, my friends.

I'd like to see what color combinations you all have come up with, accidentally, or on purpose.

Mixing powders always seems to give speckled boolits. Sometimes you get a tint change if you only have a small amount of powder versus the other powder. Discovered that when I failed to get every stinking bit of powder out of the sprayer.

Mixing makes speckles. Sometimes they are great!

Blue and green with more green than blue.

Speckles are great. I made a few with the red and white when a little green was left in the gun and they looked like Christmas candies we had as kids. As you work with more powders you will find that not only do you get interesting color combos but that some powders coat thicker than others and this can be used to advantage. Ugly colored boolits shoot just as well as the pretty ones but just aren't as fun. Beautiful boolits Beagle as always. Gp

I tried to mix red and white for pink and PC some fishing weights for my son to find out how well it was going to work, What I got was two tone not a mix to make pink.

I've done more mixing of colors since this video was made.

ebner glocken, I've never had any success with ANY of the Harbor Freight powder coatings; specially since all I do is the "shake and bake" method.

Smoke4350 is my source of PC, and have had NO problems with any of his powder. I'll have to experiment with his "Bacon Grease" color and black next. (Ya think it might be from the wife making BLT's for supper tonight? Lol!)

None the less, I'm enjoying the mixed colors every one is coming up with. Hey, Chuck! "Do you ever shoot any of your PC'd bullets?" Too pretty to shoot!

You have found the magic "pixel dust" coating!

I LOVE the mottled and pixelated combos I get with mixing HF and Smoke's powders.

If you want P. Pink, you have to order it!

I got a good pink when I started using red and didn't clean the ES gun, until all the white was used up. Doesn't take much of the white.

My favorite speckled mix is Terra Cotta. It is a blend of HF red, Liftow Blue and Zombie Green.

If you stand far enough back, it'll look pink. It's like the pixels on a monitor. There are just red, green, and blue pixels and by lighting them up at various brightness levels, you get a LOT of different colors. If you look at them under a magnifying glass, you will see the separate pixels.

http://www.wonderwhizkids.com/wwkimages/Know_Why/Display_tech_6.jpg

For example, each of the black bordered squares in the following image is approximately 50% red and 50% white, thus a particular shade of pink. As you can see, as the pixels get larger, it seems less of the color pink and more of just red and white squares.

I made some HF white and mixed it with a little neon green from tiger drylac and the result was a tinted green pill.

It was white, but it took on a neon green tint, just faint. Then I added in some red and it came out not green anymore, but when I looked closer, I could see red and green in it. The harbor freight white is a great color to mix others in with. I wonder if I mixed in some red to my emerald green what it would look like instead of base coating in green and top coating in red.

Beagle: That is a nice looking Terra Cotta.

Can anyone pass along the contact info for Smokes, Smoke's, Smoke4350? I'd love to try some of his powder. TIA!

Would be interesting to mix in some colors into the clear PC and do two coats with different colors mixed in. Sort of a 3D effect. Then we're just getting too fancy for something we plan on shooting though.

Oh the slippery slope... Today I just received my three samples of black chrome II, bonded black chrome and solar rain from PBTP. Hopefully tomorrow I will receive my copper metallic and who knows, maybe I might give sugar maple a shot too... Base coats of green with brown top coats can be cool. I bet base coats of hot pink and tops of black will also be cool.
