I bought a Saeco # 281 7mm 145 gr mould for my TC 10" Contender. I am wanting to cast and shoot these. Any suggestions on alloys and or loads. I have a lot of Lyno, WW, soft lead and Tin so I can make up most any alloy---dale

For HUNTING I use a Lyman#2 mix as the hardest alloy, straight WW works well also. I have 10,14 and 21" barrels in 7TC/U. linotype seldom gets in my barrels as it is too valuable as a mixing alloy. Lots of powder choices for the 7tc/u. I use some 748 in mine .Just fit the boolet and use a quality lube. I always use gas checks even when shooting slow. RX7 and IMR 4198 work well in the 10"

I have the 14 inch 7mm TCU shooting the rcbs 145 gr bullet actual weight is 156 with wwwd shooting H322 22.6 gr. and rem. 7 1/2 primer average 10 vel. is 1685. I also have a Saeco #070 trunc cone wwwd weight 142 grains with lube and gas check, try it soon as it warms up. For hunting I just shoot ww. I am going to try a pure lead nose about 60 grains in the RCBS mould this will be my first try with this.
