How many of you would give 200 for this MK1
I doubt that this pistol has had a box of bullets through it
no wear on the mags or mag well bluing is 100% my buddy owns a garage and a guy that comes in regular came in and offered him it for 200 and he called me to ask if it was worth it.

In a heartbeat, as long as I didn't think it was stolen.

I'd hold on to it for that offer. 3-350 might perk an ear but not 2

Absolutely, in fact I'd go to three hundred to make sure it stayed with me.

NIB, 2 mags, very light use by the looks of it.

How much is he asking? Give him $20 over so he thinks he made out. Now can be a good time to buy rimfires due to the lack of ammo.

Mark I target! Better believe it. You can't find a better shooter no matter what.
Almost new in the box with all paper work, Jump through hoops to grab it.

The owner wants $200 my buddy did not even know what it was until he called me and I told him he had better stay away from it but I would take it to get it off the market so nobody else would get taken on an over priced pistol ( for some reason he did not believe me ) yeah he bought it but the nice thing is that it is at my house and he is going away this weekend and wants me to check it out make sure it runs alright he knows I am going to the range sunday so I will run a few through it you know just to make sure its safe for him to use

be careful doing a full cleaning, there is a little spring under the grips that fly's out and is a bugger to get back. don't ask how I know this.

All Rugers are easy to take apart and put together . Nothing flies out. Absolute wonder of design.
Spring under grips???? Are you talking about the hammer strut that must be aligned to the hammer spring?
I can take one apart and put together blind folded.

That was a GREAT deal.. I have Standards, MKI, II and III's, I agree with .44man, simple to take apart and put together, just do everything in the right order.

I paid 200 for my MK-2 target and it's missing almost half the bluing.
I still think I got a good deal every time I shoot it.
I need to buy some good target 22 ammo and try it out against my K-22, and Dan Wesson to see which of the three really is more accurate [that day]

You guys are probably going to think I have a golden horse shoe up my ***. There was a guy I used to work with that was very anti-gun, and particularly anti hunting. One day he came to me and said that his wife's uncle had died and they were getting ready to have a big yard sale to get his house cleared out so they could sell it. He said they found this pistol in a drawer and were afraid it might hurt somebody, so they wanted to get rid of it as quickly as possible, and did I want to buy it. I asked what kind was it, and he said "a 22". So after work I went to see what it was. It was a Mark I target and in excellent shape. I asked what they wanted for it and he said "Is $75 too much, it's only a 22 and we want rid of it before it hurts somebody." The funny part is, he brought it for me to see with his arm held straight out and pinching the gun with his thumb and first finger, like it was going to bite him or something. I gave him the $75.
Turned out it had an extra stamping on the front of the action.

My MK III (Same configuration minus the target sights) was about $300. Heck yeah I would buy a MKI for $200! You'd be crazy not to!

That friend of yours needs to be neutered so that he can't breed any more idiots like himself.

A friend of mine called me one Saturday and said he had just come from a yard sale where he saw a 22 caliber rifle for sale. He said it they were asking $50 for it and it was a Winchester but it was only a 22 short and it had belonged to a WWII Army general. After some of my questions were answered I told him it was an early target rifle that was later called the model 52. I said get your butt back over there and buy the rifle. Of course the rifle was gone by then. The next month the American Rifleman's feature article was on that very rifle and it in the article they said Winchester only chambered 22 of that model in 22 short. I never let him forget it. I still have that Rifleman magazine.

But at least you ended up with it and he did not take it to the local PD to have it disposed of or something equally as stupid good on you ( but yes you do have a Gold Plated Horse shoe up your A%% )
I guess I can't complain to much I bought a 336 in 35 Rem for $200

I once won a brand new "tacticool" Mossberg 500 for less than $50 ( including all fees, shipping, and the transfer fee) off of a newly launched penny bid site. :D

I eventually traded it for a handgun and then later sold that for a very nice M81 Vetterli made in 1888. Best $50 I ever spent. :p

nice mk1 it is like the one I shot in the indoor pistol league years ago. only now he has to find the ruger muzzle break and thumb rest grips.
