Found this in a bucket of wheel weights. Couldn't think of anywhere better to post it.

OK, I'll bite--just what the heck is it supposed to be? Some kind of how-to for WW installation?

It's a gauge. Rims have different profiles, which require different series weights. You hold it to the rim and if it fits the groove you need that series. A proper match holds better, won't damage the rim/tire, or cause leaks. Most techs are lazy the clips are pretty maleable so they beat on whatever is in reach.

Wow! That is neat. Have noticed the letter designations such as MC and AW on WW's and knew they were to designate application but the profile gauge makes it really clear. Along with I'm guessing the chart to allow US tire mechanic to convert the gram weights to oz.

I'd LOVE to have that gauge at work!, the one I have only has 5 types of weights on it, and no OZ/Gram conversion, but my machine will tell me either OZ/Gram at the touch of a button!

Wrenchman, are lead weights still legal in OR?

They're outlawed here--
