Got a good deal today

Well, I've been wanting one of the Henry 22 levers for a while. One of my sons works for the local Fred Meyer store. Once each year they have a family discount coupon for employee's family members; it was good for 15% off on sporting goods . . . And the first Tuesday of each month, they have a 10% discount for seniors. I was able to use both discounts and saved $86 on the gun . . . Whoopie!

I've been looking at one of those Henry 22's for a while now. They sure do look nice. Let me know how it shoots for you as that may make up my mind once and for all.

Try some Blazer ammo. My Henry will shoot five of these into 1 inch or better at 50 yards off the rest.

I was able to do some horse trading with a friend a few years back and I ended up with his Henry "Youth Model" lever action - he bought it new and never shot it - a Brooklyn Address model I was a little reserved about the "youth" length butt stock but I never had a problem with it at all. They are great rifles. I have only used mine for critters since the ammo shortage started - just can't see paying the price of the 22 when I can reload 38s much cheaper. But . . they are certainly fine rifles and the company gives top notch customer service. Glad you were able to get one - you did well on the price! You will love it! Have fun and enjoy!
