Vanguard S2 Carbine

I'm seriously considering a Weatherby Vanguard S2 carbine, in .308. Looks to be a pretty decent rifle at a good price.

Anyone here have any experience with 'em?

Vanguard S-2 are great guns for the money. They have a decent sturdy stock, good bedding, a MOA accuracy guarantee and a hinged floorplate magazine.

Until recently the .308 in both rifle and carbine had 1:12 twist barrels. At the NRA convention, I was told at the Weatherby booth that they had discontinued the 1:12 and had gone to 1:10.

If you can live with 1:10 (most do) you will love the S-2 carbine.
