When in doubt about a thread just go back to your browser history and click on that thread, it will take you to the thread, re-direct you to the new location if it's been moved or bring up an error page showing it has been deleted.

If you really, really have to ask about a closed thread then you should PM the moderator in charge of that forum. Seriously though missing threads rarely contain a shred of useful information.
