How well do these rifles shoot groups with cast in 30-30?...
Do they come drilled & tapped for scope bases?
I would be using the rifle for hunting if I decide to buy it and would like to shoot cast at hunting vel.

Thanks for any info...:)

[How well do these rifles shoot groups with cast in 30-30?... - Sorry, I can't help, as I've only shot factory JSP's.

[Do they come drilled & tapped for scope bases?] - Not from the factory, AFAIK.

BTW - If you find a beat 20ga somewhere, I believe the barrel will fit your frame and could also be shortened & iron sighted for a shotgun-only deer & switch barrel set.

Thanks Pietro...
A 12 ga. barrel comes with the 30-30 barrel...but I have no use for the shotgun barrel....

My 219 in 30-30 has a grooved top for 3/8" rings. I have had the scope slide on me a few times, get the rings really tight. I have 3 groups in front of me now with cast, the average is 4 shots in .3 to .4" at 50 yards.

The fifth round I can never get in there, and will open the groups to the .6" range. This rifle has an awful trigger that I blame, but I think thats pretty good for an inexpensive gun.

Thanks for your reply dubber...I was wondering how your 219
was shooting as you came up on the search I did on the subject before I posted this thread...Thats excellent grouping and I am wondering it you remember what mold and how fast your loads where as I am interested in hunting loads say above 1700fps...:)
