I recently bought one and shot it this past weekend. Approximately 100 rounds of 44 Mag using NOE 434-235 with 10 grains Unique, sized .432. Gun was equipped with a cheap Tasco 3x9 scope purchased from W-M. After sighting in at 50 yards , went to 100 yards on a 8" target . Gun performed great !

The trigger is outstanding, gun is not heavy, and it's accurate. My belief is the Hunter is a "sleeper" and should be more popular.

Buds Guns had some in stock recently. I really!!!! wanted to put one on layaway. But I am out of work because of a surgery and couldn't justify the purchase. Kevin

I have the CVA Scout V2 in 44 mag. I love it. I shoot the same noe 434-235 with 2400. It shoot well but a Hornady 240gr.XTP and WW/296 will really open your eyes...one hole at 50 yds.

I will give unique a try.

I have the V2 Pistol in 300BO, 44 Mag, and 50 cal. I like them! My 44 mag shoots great with a Millet 1" 3MOA red dot. Waiting to cast some Lee 310grs for it. I do wish they had a shorter barrel. Thinking of sending it off to have the barrel cut to 10" and recrowned.

300BO is even better. Waiting for a 2x Leupold scope for it. Its shot a 2" group at 100 yards with a 3MOA red dot! I really like the 11" barrel!

Wanting to get the 44mag rifle so Jr can practice more. He shoots a CVA Wolf and the V2 is about the same size. And I can reload WAY cheaper than what BH209 costs!

If 357 Max brass ever gets back in, thinking of getting a 357 is either the pistol or rifle and reaming it out to a Max.

Both of mine like jackets with 296 and Unique. Just wish Unique was more plentiful around here.

Are you using 777 or BH209? I was wondering how 777 was in it.

Triple 7 it works great. I also used Swiss FFFG. Both worked well at the range I am swabbing between shots. The best results I have had has been with the Power Belt bullets. The hollow point works really well on deer too.

I so much wish they would make the .357 carbine with a eighteen or nineteen inch barrel . I've handled the .44 carbine and like it but would rather have the smaller round .

Looks like the pistol V2 is the only one offered in 357 magnum.
