If there are any Parker Hale 0.451" Volunteer shooters then you might just be interested in this.

My Volunteer rifle loves the Lyman 451114 design bullet out to 600 yards (the furthest distances I shoot now) however the Lyman mould is only a single cavity and I would prefer a multiple cavity mould to help me make more bullets in the time I have with the ladle.

So to this end I have started a discussion thread over on the NOE forum to see if there is any interest in them cutting a multiple cavity mould of this bullet.

If we get enough interest (10) then Al will run the mould.

So Volunteer or want to be Volunteer shooters do yourselves a favour and sign up for this mould.

You know it makes sense.

I shoot a Parker Hale Volunteer and it is very accurate with the 451114. However, if I was to invest in a new mould for it, I would be more interested in seeing the older Lyman 451112, which is no longer available, and was also designed for the Whitworth and Volunteer--reproduced in the heavier wt. of 485 grains. Or, alternately, a heavier version of the 114, say, 500 grains.

It would be worth suggesting that on the NOE thread, as Al could do an adjustable length mould. Not sure how heavy it could go depending on the block depth.

I have a Helmut Mohr 500 gn mould for the Volunteer and Whitworth and the lighter 451114 out shoots it out to 600 yrds which has surprised me somewhat, I haven't done a comparison at the longer distances and it is unlikely I'll be getting back to 1000 nowadays.
