antique ammonia type refrigeration tubing

Have any of you used the old ammonia type refrigeration tubing for tin?
I had a few feet of it and was told that it was tin so I smelted it and cast it in the bottoms of aluminum cans.
I have not used any of it yet and want to see what the hives thoughts are...there was a whole lot of dross.

I ran across about 30# of old tin refer tubing a couple years ago. I had no idea what it was at first but found out is is pure Sn. Lots of carp inside but it fluxed just fine at a reduced temp. Do not re-melt it at the normal temp you use for Pb and COWW's!
