I have a rifle that has 13mm dovetail. I want to install a rear sight that has a 11mm dovetail.
Does someone make an adapter to do this????
I would rather not modify either rifle or sight.
Sight cannot sit high, so a riser would not work.
Any suggestions on how it might be done???

Measure the depths of the 2 dovetails the 13mm should be deeper than the 11mm a filler may be able to be made to fit snug into 13mm dovetail then fitted to snug on the 11mm with a thin band along the bottom. Would be somewhat fragile until fully assembled. (Think boring and sleeving a bearing bore). caliber and recoil of rifle will also determine if this is feasable. The base of the insert wont be very thick so fitting will be critical. Soft steel w that will machine easily and not warp or get brittle would be a big plus here also. I would fit it to the sight then to the barrel as the sight and insert can be pushed in together, other wise the sight may push out the insert.

Carefully file a plug for the 13mm dovetail. Make it a very good fit, and soft solder it in place (see my sticky on soldering). Use files to carefully blend it to the barrel contour without nicking the finish (this is a skill that is developed over time. All I can say is good luck, be careful, and go slow.)
Once the dovetail is properly installed, cut a new 11mm dovetail in the plug you just made.
Burnish with crocus cloth (again, do not touch the original finish on the barrel. Only the plug.) and cold blue it as closely as you can to match the rest of the rifle.

If at any time, you wish to return the rifle to it's original configuration, simply drift out the rear sight, heat the barrel, drift out the dovetail plug, and reinstall your original sight.

I will see goodsteel's advice and go one improvement on it. They make some stuff called Fluid Weld, it's the same stuff they put the tiles on the space shuttle with. It is like etching and electrowelding metal together, trust me when I say this is some BAD*** stuff, I have put carbon steel into aluminum with it and had to fully destroy both pieces to get it apart. Seriously awesome stuff. A 2oz. bottle will set you back about $30. It holds more than solder can begin to hold. It takes higher heat than it takes to silver solder before this stuff will break down. It is good to 3,000°F.

They use this stuff repairing cracked cylinder heads, I THINK it will hold a dovetail in!

Make a slug and fit it tightly into the 13mm dovetail, drive it into the dovetail using fluidweld. let it set as the directions say, then cut your 11mm dovetail into it. If you got a good fit on the 13mm slug, it will never come loose.

Hint: If you are somewhat shop impaired in making a proper fitting slug, look for a scope base or a sight or some kind of cheapo piece that has the 13mm dovetail on it, and use it to make the slug from.

my 2¢

If the value of this rifle and sight doesn't warrant the correct and seemingly expensive solutions provided.

I'd use an epoxy puddy filler like this...

Or maybe even a pewter type spacer/filler, wedged in one end.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I screwed up. Left out some very important information.
Sorry.......
It's the rear sight I'm trying to fit.
The 11mm dovetail is on the sight (Anschultz). The receiver has the 13mm groove (CZ/Brno).

I think most of us here understood this to be the case.
