Any good brand recommendations? I don't care to buy one that's gonna rust or fall apart next year.

FWIW, I've used 30+ Uncle Mike's Q.D. swivel sets since the late 60's, and have never had any that rusted or fell apart.

Depends on the Marlin also. For the half magazines they have one that screws into the magazine cap retaining screw. For full magazines I use the magazine clamp on style by Uncle Mikes. Its best to put a little tape inside the clamps as they tend to tighten as little better. You can do so very unobtrusively.

Hey there RD -- You might consider addressing your sling studs, if you don't already have some on the rifle. You will need one in the buttstock. This is essentially a screw with an eye.

On the front end I'm a fan of a forend tip with a stud. These come for both round and octagonal barrels. Brownells and MidwayUSA is a good source for these, but they are frequently out of stock.

There is also the split ring stud that fits the magazine tube. These come in several diameters, so knowing the diameter of your mag tube is important.

The forend tips are mostly Marlin replacement parts. Uncle Mike's builds studs and sling swivels and are probably the brand most easily found locally and on the net. I'm a big fan of slings and most of my rifles wear them.

Hope this helps. Best regards. Wind
