145061145062Nice shooting, Klaus. Here's my unaltered Turk M-39 shot at 25 yds. That's only approximately half the distance you shot at. This was with Lee 175 gr. gas checked bullets cast from wheel weights that actually weighed about 180 gr., once fired Winchester cases, Winchester large rifle primers, 20.0 gr. IMR-4198. I'd love to get this performance at 100 yds., but that's probably wishful thinking.

Oh--an after-thought, the bullets were not sized at all, and the ammo was loaded at the range as needed with an old Lyman Ideal 310 tool. 5 shots total, 3 make one hole.

Good shooting Klaus,

If you can possibly tighten your groups up by experimentation. Try perfecting your loads with plus and/or minus .1 to .3 grains of powder from your best load. Watch for the pressure signs.

Safe loading, shooting, reloading,

20 .0 of IMR-4198 is a very light load.
Probably only around 1400 FPS
But faster is not always better.
