Garage/yard sales can be gold mines for reloaders and shooters. The wife and I go to about 300 sales a year. We usually only pay pennies on the dollar for what we buy. So far this year my pewter/tin buys are about 50 cents per pound (19 pounds so far), full rolls (1 pound) of 50/50 and 60/40 solder average $1.00, and the 80 pounds of lead "scuba diver" lead weights for $10.00 was my best deal so far. Yeah, the time and gas adds some, but the rewards can be big. We just take the treasure hunters attitude about it and have a great time exploring new places.

beeser;

From one Hollywood press collector to another I am glad you made it to Hamilton MT. (8 hour drive one way from my cave) Those HW presses weren't advertised by name or picture, only the rock chucker was. I found them by examining a hundred different yard sale pictures looking for old reloading presses in the background. A lot of people don't reconize reloading presses for what they are.

Good job,
