I had to cut short my casting session today and was only able to produce 5 pounds of ingots. I was initially pretty bummed, but then I did the math. If their are 7,000 grains in a pound, and I'm casting either 124 grain 9mm or 240 grain .44's that's 275+ 9mm and 140+ .44's.
I find it a little hard to believe, but who am I to argue with math.

With only 5 pounds it's either 275+ 9mm or 140+ .44's. Not both.

But don't forget to subtract for dross or those runaway sprues, or that little that stays at the bottom of the pot. Only in a perfect world can we just add.

I worked with a guy who retired so he would have more time to do math. He also has a house in the Bahamas and doesn't own a fishing pole.

Your lucky I don't even get one RB out of a pound when I cast for the cannon.
