Was browsing GB a couple Sundays ago and stumbled across a 35 Rem. made in '74.
This thing looks like in feel out of a time machine. Like new.
And a shooter, took out back the other morning before work. Took a couple rounds to get on paper.
This was at 50 yds. 35-200 boolit & 24.0 grs IMR 4198, first 2 shots ae the low ones. adjust the sight slightly more then put 4 in the middle. Then the 2 at the top are with 24.5 grs., that was all the time I had.

Good morning
Nice Marlin ! Caliber 35 is a good one ! Will take care of a lot of business. Keep stocking up on brass as you see it.

Looks like you found a fine little rifle and a good load to boot! Congrats! Nicely done. As Mike said latch onto every piece of brass you find, you'll probably want to hang onto this rifle and it would be a bummer not to be able to shoot it.

Thanks guys, this is my third 35.
Have quite a bit of brass, and picked up a bag of 50 new pcs. a couple mons. back.
Got a Sears model 45 that I got last year, and a Savage model 170.
The Savage has taken a few deer, the Higgins has not yet.
But it gets the first chance this fall.

So far it seems that this newest rifle, and the Savage like the 24.0 gr. load.
And the older Sears model J.C.Higgins likes the 24.5 gr. load a little better.
Gonna do a little more searchin soon as it cools off a bit.
