We had to do away with chipped rubber at our club due to fire risk. It works great but we had an as yet to be explained fire and it caused us all manner of problems. For a private range; GREAT idea especially for recovering your lead to reuse.

I put it in a 5 gal bucket with an oak bottom plate. Great! Pop the lid on to move it.

That works! We were both thinking the same thing... lead is not getting any cheaper and I'd like to save what I can for the amount of shooting I do!

Interesting! I've read about a couple fires, but most were explained away by the use of tracer rounds and were in outside berms.

A bundle of old wet magazines in a plastic bag works quite well and allows easy retrieval a measure of penetration.
