Hello everyone,
This may be a bit of an unusual request for help but here's my problem. I have searched in vain for a goodly number of years for a lyman 313492 mould in decent condition. Alas, no luck. After contacting Tom of Accurate molds fame, he has kindly agreed to produce said wadcutter if I could provide dimensioned drawings. Do any of you have a drawing or the ability to point me in the right direction? I would be happy to reimburse any expenses that you would incur.
Thank you,
Jeff

Is that the little button nose SWC with the big, thick base driving band? I'd love that mould for small game. Bought some many years back.

I guess if one was to classify it, it would be a Type III wadcutter. Think of it as 358432 only smaller. I've never even held one in my hand but by all accounts, it's a pretty good performer. It is my intended use for .32 S&W long as a small game bullet

It will all be worth your efforts.
I really like mine.

If you just want to get out on the range and have some FUN, this is the one to take with you.

A contender (carbine) is exactly where they would be headed. Mine shoots like a house afire.

That's one bullet going sideways through the top target Ben? :bigsmyl2:

So did the OP ever track one down? I searched high and low to finally find my DC mould and no it's not for sale, but I may know where there is a SC, or I can send a few samples to use as prototypes to get a mould cut by Accurate.

If you can't find a drawing but have some cast boolits, if you will take some photos and send them to me I can "trace" them into AutoCAD then turn it into a drawing. There may be a little fudging but it will be pretty close and exactly the diameter you want.

I need photos from the side to show the profile.

I have done this for a couple of group buys ~ the Mihec H&G #503 for Dale53 and the 311410 group buy CBrick ran.

Gents,
As it stands now, .22-10-45 has generously offered to send me a couple examples. And Tom at Accurate said he would work with the sample and that he does it quite frequently.
Thanks for all the help!
Sincerely,
Jeff Michel

My thanks to everyone for their help. Tom at Accurate now has it listed as #31-095L in his product catalog.

Cool!

I have had generally very good results with the little bullet. I've also got a Hollow base version around here somewhere, but I've never had a chance to cast and try shooting that one.
