Doing a little searching for a friend, and if anyone can help ... I know it's one of you guys in here.
He is searching for a mold ... .45cal ... 250-255 gr. ... gas check ... wide nose for feeding & function in a lever gun.
Any idea if this exists ??? He is capable of making a mold if absolutely necessary, but would rather buy off the shelf.
thanx for looking ... ... ...

Contact Tom at Accurate Molds. He can make anything, so long as it has a minimum meplat. He may even already make that design. Also don't forget NOE, they just may already make what you're looking for.

wide nose I'm taking to mean a round nose flat point.
the lyman 452664 is right there with what you want.
except for the gas check part, which I have never found necessary in my lever guns even when exceeding 1600 fps.
he could always look into a plain base gas check which is installed when sizing like a regular check.
but when he finds out he don't need one he has the option of just not using it and can still keep the flat base.

I have had good results with an original Lyman 454424 which is now obsolete. You can get that bullet here: http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?products_id=450. My rifle would not shoot any kind of round nose bullet but is very accurate with this one.

yur a bit fuzzy (pun intended) on which caliber ?
But, I suspect 45 colt.
NOE is out of stock with this one, but email him, and I bet he may run a batch if you commit to ordering one.
