I consider this powder to be premium quality. From memory I've loaded it in .38 special, 9mm, .45acp. Excellent results and the only downside is the cost.

I was given some, and yes it is way out of my price range.

The only VV powders I have experience with so far are 540 & 550, and they have proven to be some of the very cleanest burners I've ever used, and they were very consistent in vel. & SD's, though I haven't used them broadly at all. They've impressed me, and if the price ever gets more comparable to our other more available powders, I'll be experimenting a lot more. As it is, count me as another that's turned away by their price level, but an admirer nevertheless, albeit from afar.

You don't say what you want to use it for, however there is a bit of data using VV340 and pistol rounds with cast bullets here:

like Blackwater I have only used their rifle powder N550, a double base powder, using it in .243 with jacketed. It is excellent but as others state expensive.

Very good powder if you can afford it. I used to burn a lot of it in my Glocks when I used to shoot at steel plates.
